Dr. Florence Juma joins us to discuss how to balance the cycles of grief as one who helps others. Dr. Juma is an expert in grief and loss issues.
Dr. Juma received her PhD in Church Dogma & History from the University of Northwest in Potchefstroom, South Africa, and her Master of Divinity degree from Africa International University in Nairobi, Kenya. She also has a master's degree in Education (Policy Studies) from Western University (a.k.a. University of Western Ontario), London, Ontario. Prior to joining Martin Luther University College (formerly Waterloo Lutheran Seminary), she was a research assistant at Western University. The research focused on data analysis to map significant policies of the colonial education system in Trinidad and Tobago. This project was sponsored by the World Bank. She is a registered psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and a certified educator-supervisor with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC).
